Free PeeWee transition clinics
The Dubuque Little League is hosting free clinics for kids moving up from Pee Wees into Minors next year. They will be held the five Thursdays in September, from 6:00 to 7:00 on Field 2 at Derby Grange. Registration is as simple as contacting Matt Garrett at mcgarr613@msn.com. Dubuque Little Leaguer of the Year
Isabella Berthel was named the inaugural winner of the Dubuque Little Leaguer of the Year Award. Nominations were accepted in all five divisions for the player who best demonstrated the three Little League pillars of Courage, Character, and Loyalty. Berthel was selected by a group of board members representing each of the five leagues.

Next Board Meeting: August 25 @ 7:00 PM – Clarke University
The next Dubuque Little League board meeting will be Wed., Aug. 25 at 7:00 p.m. tentatively to be held at the Clarke University Atrium. The main agenda item will be a discussion of dividing the leagues based primarily on ability as opposed to age. Loras College Astronomy & Robotics Camp awards Free Registration
The Loras College Astronomy and Robotics camp agreed to award one free registration to a Little League player of the right ages as part of a random drawing. Congratulations to Cameron Gineau for being the lucky recipient and thanks to Loras College for this donation.

Dubuque North minors advance to District Finals
Congratulations to Gary, Bob, and the kids as the 9-10 North defeated the North Scott Nationals yesterday 7-6 to advance to the District championship game against Davenport Northwest. This effort equals the farthest a Dubuque team has ever advanced. The championship game is tonight at 6:00 p.m. at Emeis Park in Davenport. Take U.S. 61 to I-80 W to I-280 to Locust St. exit. As you head into town you eventually see the parks on the left. Turn left and there are different parking options. Good luck!
